This is a two-part course - the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.
Successfully completing just the AI course results in a PADI Assistant Instructor qualification. When an AI is ready to progress, attending an OWSI program allows entry into an IE to earn a full PADI Instructor rating.
You will also complete the EFR instructor course during this course if you do not already have the certification.
Prerequisites:
- A PADI Divemaster who has been a certified diver for six months may enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course.
- Must be 18 or older
- PADI Medical Form signed by your doctor within the last 12 months
- At least 60 logged dives and 100 dives to attend an IE.
Tuition:
- IDC Training Package - $4,000
- Includes 4–5 IDC preparation sessions, classroom and pool training, EFR Instructor training, DAN Instructor training, DAN online learning, and five PADI Specialty Instructor courses after the Instructor Examination.
